What people say

“Dr. Eric Montagne is a great chiropractor, he handles his patients with care, kindness and professionalism. I have had a neck pain bothering me for 2 years that I never bothered to check out, but finally got sick of it and booked an appointment. Within a couple of appointments he corrected it. Also super convenient that his office is a 2-minute walk from Henri-Bourassa metro.”

As a first contact medical professionals and as chiropractic doctors, chiropractors are entitled to perform a chiropractic diagnosis, determine the indication and non-indication of chiropractic treatments, establish a prognosis and determine the nature and frequency of the necessary examinations and treatments, in each case where they are called upon to intervene.

Assessing a health problem requires different steps.

        Case history

The clinical examination that traces the medical history and the history of the patient’s current complaint, with the results of the various explorations already done and previous treatments.

The clinical examination evaluating the functions of the nervous system in a patient more particularly of the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system.

The clinical examination evaluating the pathologies of the locomotor apparatus, bones joints, muscles, tendons.

The clinical examination that assesses the functions and disorders of the musculoskeletal system, the spine, the upper and lower limbs and their adverse effects on human health.

        Specific Tests

In order to investigate signs of underlying anomalies and pathologies or to verify the effectiveness of the treatment, to identify the patient's health problems and to determine the appropriate treatment.

The chiropractor has a radiology license that allows him to make diagnostic x-rays, particularly in the search for the appropriate treatment for the present case.

Chiropractic thermography is a technique for obtaining a thermal image by infrared analysis to identify local temperature anomalies that assist the diagnosis of the doctor.

        Chiropractic Techniques

Many treatment protocols are available to chiropractors. Here are the ones we use the most.

        Dynamic Palpation

A technique of evaluation and manual adjustments based on the return to normal motion mechanics of all affected joint segments.

        Pierce Technique

A technique that unifies the analysis of radiographies with targeted adjustments mainly using chiropractic tables equipped with “Terminal Drop”.

        Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT)

A technique that corrects the imbalance of human structure following very specific patterns using pelvic blocks and manual adjustments concentrating on the pelvic and occipital regions.

        Applied Kinesiology

A technique used to evaluate the structural (skeletal, muscular, organ and viscera), biochemical (metabolism, nutrition, nerve impulses) and emotional health through muscle and manual corrections or “Arthrostim”.
