Including a few kilometers from a supermarket. It adapts to different soil qualities. It resists cold winters and hot summers. And dozens of varieties of apples compete.<br \/>\nHow is it possible that a banana that crossed the Atlantic is less expensive than an apple produced a few kilometers away.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The answer is\u2026<\/span><\/h5>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7962\" src=\"https:\/\/notrechiro.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/container_blue1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"376\" \/><br \/>\nThe answer is &#8230; the container<\/p>\n<p>The containers allowed to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>reduce the cost of insurance<\/li>\n<li>make stealing almost impossible<\/li>\n<li>move goods easily between a boat, a train and a semi-trailer<\/li>\n<li>low labor costs<\/li>\n<li>insignificant transport costs<\/li>\n<li>predictability of shipping<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Let&#8217;s go back to our banana<\/span><\/h5>\n<p>The life of our banana begins in a nursery.<br \/>\nFrom there, the young banana plants are shipped by cargo plane to the Dominican Republic (yes, if, and it remains profitable!).<br \/>\nThen they are put in the lab and in the greenhouse to make sure they are healthy.<br \/>\nThen they are transported to the plantations where they are replanted.<br \/>\nA year later, the first bananas, are picked still green &#8230; and from this moment, the countdown is launched.<br \/>\nIndeed, when a banana begins to ripen, it is impossible to go back. More importantly, if a single banana matures, it will ripen all nearby bananas.
